How WEM works
WEM is an affiliate-first product discovery platform. We help shoppers compare products across major retailers, then send them to the merchant of their choice for checkout. We do not host the retailer's checkout and we do not store your payment data — checkout, final pricing, shipping, stock, delivery, and returns are always set by the retailer.
When a shopper clicks through to a retailer from a WEM listing, we use a tracked outbound link so qualifying purchases can earn us a commission. Where the retailer's programme supports it, that commission can be shared back to the shopper as cashback. Read more on the About page.

What is WEM?
WEM is a UK price-comparison service. We pull live product listings from Amazon, eBay and our partner retailers into one place so you can compare prices and find the best deal before you buy. Checkout always happens on the retailer — WEM is a comparison layer, not a store.
Is WEM free to use?
Yes, WEM is completely free for shoppers. We earn a commission from retailers when you buy through a tracked link, at no extra cost to you, which is how we keep the service free. All affiliate links are clearly disclosed.
How does WEM find the best price?
For each product we fetch current listings across multiple retailers and show them side by side, sorted so the best-value options surface first. Prices refresh regularly, so you see what retailers are charging now rather than a stale snapshot.
Which retailers does WEM compare?
We compare live listings from Amazon, eBay and a growing roster of UK partner retailers across electronics, home, kitchen, fashion, beauty, gaming and more. You can also compare hotels and car hire in the WEM Travel section.
Shop, prices & checkout
On Shop, we aggregate listings from connected retailers when their APIs or product feeds allow. Prices shown are indicative and can change before you buy — confirm the live price on the retailer's own page.
Where we surface AI suggestions, comparison context, or trust signals (reviews, ratings) those are informational, not a binding quote or endorsement. There is no shared cart across retailers — you complete each purchase on the retailer's site under their policies.
Tax, shipping, discounts, and the final amount you pay are always set on the retailer's checkout, not on WEM. Returns and refunds are handled by the retailer.
Affiliate disclosure
WEM earns commission from qualifying purchases when shoppers use our outbound retailer links, including as an Amazon Associate. Commission rates and attribution rules are set by each retailer or affiliate network. Not every click or order qualifies, and returns or cancellations can reverse a commission.
We do not accept payment for ranking or rating, and we label sponsored placements where they appear. The full breakdown is on the affiliate disclosure page.
Cashback & rewards
Where the retailer's affiliate programme supports it, qualifying tracked purchases can earn cashback for the shopper. Cashback is merchant-funded — it comes out of the affiliate commission paid by the retailer to us, not from a separate payment from you.
Reward timing is not instant. After you buy, the retailer reports the order to their affiliate network, which can take days or weeks. Cashback amounts move from pending to confirmed only once the retailer confirms the order is final and not subject to return. Returns or cancellations can claw back any cashback that was pending or confirmed.

Creators & influencers
Your public link is /ref/your-code. When someone opens it, attribution cookies record clicks against your code so qualifying outbound purchases can be tied to your channel and campaigns (UTM parameters help you segment by social channel in your dashboard). Final purchase still happens on the retailer; commission treatment follows the programme rules and merchant reporting.
Disclosure is your responsibility. Follow the FTC Endorsement Guides (and equivalents in your audience's region) when you earn from referrals — clear #ad or #affiliate tags in posts that contain a tracked or affiliate link, not buried in profile bios. WEM provides templates and per-channel attribution but cannot replace your own disclosure obligations.

Mobile web & apps
WEM is a responsive web app. There is no App Store or Google Play download yet — open WEM in your phone's browser (Safari on iOS, Chrome or Samsung Internet on Android). Native iOS and Android apps are on the roadmap; we will not publish a release date here until the apps are submitted to the stores.
For a quick fullscreen shortcut: iOS → Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen. Android → Chrome → menu (⋮) → Add to Home Screen or Install app (wording varies by browser). That is a bookmark-style shortcut to the site, not a separate binary from the stores.
